The Salon International De La Haute Horlogerie aka SIHH is one of the most waited and celebrated horology event dedicated to the spectacular art of watchmaking. Each year from the past 27 years, SIHH has been staging the ritual of congregating the most distinguished watches. The exclusive and private gathering brings together watch lovers, journalists, professionals, collectors, followers, opinion leaders and buyers from all around the world to witness the one of a kind watch fair held at Geneva.
This year yet again, SIHH is back with a bigger, brighter and wider scope taking place between 15-19 January. While the excitement has been bottling up ever since last year, the cap of the bottle is finally opened to bring to us surprising innovations of Fine Watchmaking.

The 28th Edition of SIHH has as many as 35 exhibitors with 18 Historic Maisons, and 17 brands in the Carre des Horlogers. The massive set up comprised of a posh central Hub which is a common ground for all the prominent attendees, clientele and VIP guests. The 100 seat auditorium is set for intellectual discussions on latest trends and developments, by horology veterans. The White Box is curated for detailed discussions, displays and interviews. The five-day fair is a full fledged showdown of the watch sector and buzzes with energy and passion.
Among the 35 exhibitors the names which are making the most noise are: Hermès,Greubel Forsey, Armin Strom, Richard Mille, DeWitt, Mont Blanc, Cartier amongst many new and reputed brands.
Some other lauded exhibitions are:
- The Beauty of Time: inspired by a book of the same nomenclature, this is no ordinary book, but one that literally preserves and shows timepieces from Middle ages until today. The book was available as a pre-launch exclusive at the SIHH bookstore.
- Cartier’s Mystery Clock Collection: On the first day, and for the first time ever Cartier undertook a tour of 19 of its mystery clock. The exhibition was a showcase of this exceptional artistry which continues to dominate the watch market even today.
